Burning home movies with Roxio

This is for Roxio Creator 11, but should work for most.

Have the movies ready on your hard drive.

Start Roxio Creator.  Choose "Video/Movies" from the menu, then choose "Create DVDs".

Start a new DVD project (or whichever media you want).  This opens up a new window to create a DVD.

Choose a new main title, something like "Kid's movies" or "Home Movies 2".

Click on Add New Movie.

Select the movies you wish to add, using Ctrl to multi select.  Try to add one at a time until the disc is full.  It will automatically create the menus as you go.

Under the project view, click on each movie, then click on "Edit Chapters" in the "Edit" panel.  Generate chapters every few minutes, or try your luck at the scene detection.  I've found the defaults a little too sensitive.

Watch the bar on the bottom to ensure the movies will fit on the disc.  Choosing Fit to Disc will take advantage of the size but will re-encode to do so, risking quality.

Once done, press Burn to burn the dvd.
